Introducing TetraMap
Thursday 9 October 2008 at 5.30pm
A refreshing alternative
Most people have heard of psychometric testing (even if they think that it sounds a bit daunting and are not quite sure what it is anyway) but few have probably yet heard of TetraMap. This could be about to change. Traditional psychometric tools are not fun and are typically restricted to use by HR professionals. The resulting assessments tend to pigeon hole people based on a single moment in time and so do little to develop an ongoing understanding. TetraMap is different. It has been developed in New Zealand over the past 15 years and its use is now growing around the world. Whilst it is a psychometric instrument it provides more of a motion picture than a snap shot; it is easily comprehended and promotes an understanding of your business, customers and staff in a different and deeper way based on metaphors from nature.

And it's fun!

Andrew Mills runs Babel Consulting - a business devoted to helping others develop and grow. He is a certified TetraMap facilitator and so is the ideal person to explain how you and your organisation could benefit from this refreshing approach.

Mediation
Thursday 13 November 2008 at 5.30pm
A highly effective way to resolve disputes
Sue Bayram is an experienced commercial mediator accredited through The Academy of Experts and working in the field of alternative dispute resolution. She has built up a successful regional practice from her base in North Lincolnshire and tonight will be sharing her experiences so that you can understand what mediation is and how you can use it to your benefit both personally and professionally.

Mediation is a low cost but effective way of resolving disputes at mutually agreed times and venues to suit all parties. It generally does not involve the emotional or financial cost of legal proceedings and it can be private - something which a court case by definition is not. Of course you may not have any potential disputes at the moment and have absolutely no intention of getting into any, but it is a fact of commercial life that they happen and, when they do, it is as well to be aware to be aware of the options. The knowledge you learn tonight could help you, your organisation or a friend at a difficult time.
